Tap into the power of your

Subconcious

So many issues we experience as humans originate from locked in emotions from past traumas. We then subconsciously react to these emotions from the past, which present themselves as fears, illnesses and barriers. We work with the subconscious mind to go straight to the source, and release these emotional root causes, resulting in lasting healing and transformation.

What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a focused state of inner awareness, where you are able to bypass your conscious thinking mind, and access your subconscious mind. Hypnosis is a natural, day-dreamy state of mind that we go into many times naturally during the day, for example when driving a familiar route and going on ‘auto pilot’. This hypnotic state is called ‘trance’. The therapist is able to guide the client into this natural state by relaxing the body and mind, and directing the focus inwards.

What does it feel like?

The hypnosis experience can be described as being awake while sleeping, in that the mind and body are deeply relaxed, but unlike being in a sleep state you are aware of everything around you and remember the whole experience. During your session, you are always in control and at any stage have the ability to open your eyes or hold back communicating information, although for the therapy to be most effective it takes co-operation from the participant.

Hypnosis is different for everyone and every session is different. Some may be very visual while in trance, while others may feel physical sensations or become very intuitive, or a combination.

What is Regression Therapy?

The regression model recognizes that many of the patterns, symptoms, and experiences we navigate as human beings can be influenced by locked-in emotions connected to unresolved experiences and past trauma. By combining hypnotherapy and regression therapy, we are able to work with the wisdom of the subconscious mind to uncover and release deeper emotional and energetic root causes, creating space for healing, understanding and transformation.

What happens during a session?

During your first session we will discuss the issues you are seeking to resolve, and you will be given more information about the process and what to expect. After our initial conversation, you will have the opportunity to experience hypnosis.

Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, we follow the guidance of your subconscious mind to explore what may exist beneath the surface. Your body is made to heal, we just have to quiet the conscious thinking mind enough to hear the answers.

Everyone’s experience is unique and a session looks different from person to person and can vary from one session to the next. Some people experience imagery, physical sensations, intuitive knowing, symbolic understanding or emotional release.

You remain aware, in control, and able to communicate throughout the process.

Sessions focus on emotional release, connection with the body, subconscious insight and uncovering deeper behavioural and belief patterns. For more information on this process, go to the Adult Page or Children + Teens Page for specifics on each age group.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions needed is unique to each person.

By working directly with the emotional root causes identified by the subconscious mind, regression therapy can often support deeper shifts more efficiently than approaches focused only on the surface layers of an issue.

That being said, the bigger the issue, the bigger the root system beneath it.

Some clients experience meaningful change quickly and dramatically, while most benefit from a commitment to regular sessions for best results.

During your first session, we ask your subconscious where the issue is stemming from so that we can begin creating a roadmap for future work.

How do Online vs In-Person Sessions work?

Sessions are available online or in person in St. Margaret’s Bay, Nova Scotia (Halifax Regional Municipality).

Online sessions are just as effective — and sometimes even more effective — than in-person work. Many clients find being in their own environment supports relaxation, safety and deeper access to the subconscious.

All you need is a stable internet connection, a device that can connect to Zoom and a comfortable place where you can recline without interruption.

Can I claim your services under Health Insurance?

Unfortunately hypnotherapy isn’t covered under most basic health insurance plans, but some have health spending accounts that can be used for alternative health and wellness practitioners, so it is always worth checking with your provider.

If you’ve exhausted all the conventional means that are covered and it hasn’t gotten to the root of things, then that’s usually a sign that you need to go deeper beyond what is recognized by conventional insurance.
